We have the facilities and expertise to process, cut, sand, build and install many different types of woodwork and woodturned projects.
IMPORTANT NOTE!! All products are hand made and so if a bulk order of any item is required, please contact us as far in advance as possible to avoid disappointment.
DIMENSIONING
PARTIAL CONSTRUCTION
Whether you are making a kitchen table, a cutting board or a canoe paddle, the wood you work with will very likely need to be square and straight. If you don't have your own equipment, we can take care of that for you.
The following services are available:
- Jointing boards up to 8" in width to provide straight edges in preparation for gluing together to make wider boards.
- Planing boards up to 12" wide on the top and bottom surfaces to provide a smooth surface ready to be sanded and finished. There are limitations on the thickness of boards. Please call for more information.
- Boards may be cut to any required length.
- If you require wood surfaced on four sides (often referred to as "S4S"), we can do that for you to provide dimension wood ready for creating your project.
If you are in the situation where you would love to make and own your own custom furniture, but have limited space, tools and resources, we can dimension and part- build your project, ready for you to finish.
The following services are available:
- Designing your custom project based upon your requirements.
- Preparing the wooden components of your custom project.
- Joining the components to build your project.
- All of the project pieces may then be constructed and finished by you at home.
FULL PROJECT CONSTRUCTION
We can carry out all of the steps required to make your project.
The following services are available:
- Designing your custom project based upon your requirements.
- Preparing the wooden components of your custom project.
- Joining the components to build your project.
- Customizing and personalization of your project (laser etching, texturing, carving, pyrography and other embellishments.)
- Sanding and applying a finish to your project.
CUSTOM EMBELISHMENTS
It is common to embellish a woodwork project in order to create a special piece. Typical options include carving, wood burning (pyrography), staining, painting and even creating an antique look by distressing the finished item. Whether we make a custom piece for you, or you have your own project, we can embellish it for you.
The following services are available:
- Carving to create a custom design.
- Burning designs by hand to add a special touch.
- Laser etched designs.
- Custom staining and/or painting.
- Distressing wood projects to make them appear older.
